Dimitris Papadopoulos & Vassilis Tsianos: The Autonomy of Migration, The Animals of Undocumented Mobility
Melitopoulos reading Papadopoulos: this reading is in connection to Angela's presentation on Saturday: "The concept of becoming seeks to articulate a political practice in which social actors escape their normalized representations and reconstitute themselves in the course of participating and changing the conditions of their material existence. Becoming is not only a force against something (primarily against the ubiquitous model of methodological individualism and the sovereign regimes of population control) but also a force which enables desire. Every becoming is a transformation of multiplicity to another, write Deleuze & Guattari; every becoming radicalizes desire and creates new individuations and new affections. Becoming is a drift. But these continuous becomings, this ceaseless process of diversification and transformation does not fabricate an infinite series of differences. Deleuze is not a difference engineer."
